Since 2011, the Association of Entrepreneurs for Social Inclusion {Associação Empresários pela Inclusão Social (EPIS)} has been providing additional stimulus and support to promote the social inclusion of youngsters at risk of underachieving or dropping out of school.

With this aim in mind, the EPIS launched a social grant scheme to reward good social inclusion practices and academic merit. 2020 will mark the tenth year of grants awarded under this scheme.

Caima, a company belonging to the Altri group, took inspiration from this and during in this academic year will fund two merit scholarships for students from the district of Constância who have completed secondary school and continue their studies in higher education.

In tandem with this, and as a result of the pandemic, Caima took part in the campaign to donate computers and Internet access. It funded five laptops which were given to students from Constância and Torres Novas, in an effort to promote digital inclusion for the most vulnerable students.
